1792 Full Proof Barrel Select

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Barton 1792 Distillery, bottled from a single selected barrel, number 0056, with 174 bottles produced. The distillery is the oldest bourbon distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, and was established in 1879. The 1792 in the name marks the year Kentucky joined the Union as the fifteenth state of the USA. The nose is sweet and festive with spice, polished oak and dried orange peel. On the palate come burnt sugar and cocoa with a twist of blackcurrant, leading to a spicy finish with hints of dried fruit.
