Akashi 4 Year Old is a single cask bottling from the White Oak distillery of Eigashima Shuzo, in the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, west of Kobe on the Seto Inland Sea. It comes from cask number 1235, and 286 bottles were filled. Eigashima Shuzo was founded in 1888 to make sake and obtained a licence to make whisky in 1919. The White Oak distillery was born in 1984, when the company moved to its current premises.
