This is a five-year-old Japanese whisky from the White Oak distillery of Eigashima Shuzo, matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel. It comes in a box. The distillery was founded in 1888 to make sake. Eigashima Shuzo obtained a licence to make whisky in 1919, four years before Yamazaki was built, which gives it a claim to being the oldest whisky producer in the country.
