Akashi 5 Year Old is a single malt from the small White Oak distillery in Japan. It was distilled and aged for five years in a Limousin oak Cognac cask. The cask gives it a rich, deep and complex character, with flavours that stay in the mouth after swallowing. Peppercorns and almonds come through alongside vanilla and dark chocolate, and the finish is floral and perfumed.
