Akashi Red Blended

Akashi Red is a blended whisky made from malt and grain whisky, from the Akashi brand created in 2007 by Mikio Hiraishi. The whisky spends three years in a Japanese shochu cask of American oak, is aged in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for two years in ex-sherry casks. Tasting notes mention herbs and pine, white grape, lemon, yellow apple and angelica, with dry oak and lavender and floral undertones.
