Amrut – 2013 7 Year Old Peated Port Pipe #2712 European Exclusive (60%)

This is a single cask Amrut single malt from India, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2020 at seven years old. It is a European exclusive release, and 468 bottles were filled from this cask. The whisky matured in a peated port pipe and is bottled at a cask strength of 60% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Amrut makes its malts from small-grained Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and uses Scottish peated malt for its smoky variants. The spirit matures in Bangalore, where the tropical climate ages it considerably faster than in Scotland.
