Amrut – 2017/2024 6 Year Old Peated Oloroso Cask #3507 Foundations (70cl, 60%)

This is a single cask Amrut from India, distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2024 by Oldman Spirits as part of the Foundations edition. It spent six years in an Oloroso sherry cask, number 3507, and is strongly peated. It comes at 60% in a 70cl bottle, with 462 bottles filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose is intensely smoky peat with sweet dark fruit and a spicy sherry note. On the palate it is full and robust, with peat, wood, dried berries and a little nuttiness. The finish is long, balancing smoke, sherry and subtle spice.
