Amrut – Fusion Indian Single Malt (70cl)

Amrut Fusion is an Indian single malt whisky, here in a 70cl bottle. It is a heavily oaked, complex dram in which smoke and peat sit alongside barley sweetness. The nose is thick with oak, with barley-sugar notes wrapped in soft smoke. On the palate the smoke turns to warming peat, joined by a sherry-trifle impression, oaky vanilla and barley fruitiness, before developing into an intense chocolate fudge centre. The finish is dry with peat and oak, carried by molasses sweetness, and spices come through strongly at the end.
