Amrut – Intermediate Sherry Cask Strength Indian Single Malt (70cl, 57.1%)

Amrut Intermediate Sherry is a cask strength Indian single malt, bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and matured in Bangalore at an altitude of 3,000 feet. The spirit first matures in virgin and ex-bourbon casks, then spends a further year in Spanish ex-Oloroso sherry butts, and is completed in ex-bourbon casks. It is not chill-filtered and comes straight from the barrel in its natural colour. The sherry influence is described as subdued.
