Amrut – Neidhal Peated Single Malt (46%)

Neidhal is a peated single malt from Amrut in India, bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering and with natural colour. It was matured in oak casks, and 12,000 bottles were released worldwide. It is the first bottling of Single Malts of India, a brand Amrut started in 2021 to bring together Indian single malts from different distilleries. Amrut describes Neidhal as the first independently bottled single malt from India. The name refers to the coastal region, one of five regions of the world classified in ancient Tamil texts. The whisky is described as showing tropical fruit and sweet vanilla, alongside soft phenols, sea salt and iodine.
