Amrut Peated is a single malt whisky from India, sold in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is an unusually dry peat, likened to peat smoke absorbed by an old leather armchair, with a hint of citrus. The palate begins with molassed sugar before the peat builds, growing drier and spicier while the molasses holds on.
The finish is clear and deep, with butterscotch and vanilla wrapped around the phenols to end cleanly.
