Amrut PX Sherry is an Indian single malt, a limited edition cask selected by BSW with Rohit & Friends, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from selected Indian barley and matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts from Spain. The maturation takes place in the high-altitude, tropical climate of Bangalore. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 46.2% ABV and has a deep mahogany colour.
The nose is sticky dates, figs and dark chocolate with spicy malt. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with honeyed fruitcake, roasted nuts and vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with sweet molasses and oak spice.
