Angel's Envy Cask Strength 2012 First Release is the first cask strength edition of the port barrel-finished Kentucky straight bourbon created by Lincoln Henderson. It comes in a 750ml bottle from Angel's Envy Distillery in Louisville.
Henderson founded Angel's Envy at the age of 74, after four decades at Brown-Forman, where he created Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack. The bourbon is finished in ruby port wine barrels and bottled at natural cask strength, uncut and unfiltered, with no dilution. Henderson died in September 2013, and this 2012 release was among the last cask strength expressions he oversaw from start to finish.
