Angel's Envy Cask Strength 2014 is the 2014 annual release of a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Angel's Envy Distillery in Louisville, bottled at natural barrel proof without dilution in a 750ml bottle.
The bourbon is finished in ruby port wine barrels from Portugal. Angel's Envy was founded by Lincoln Henderson, who began finishing Louisville bourbon in port barrels.
The nose is dark cherry, dried plum, caramel and vanilla. On the palate it is rich and intense, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and a warm sweetness alongside caramel and spice. The finish is long and warming.
