This is the 2021 release of Angel's Envy Cask Strength, the tenth in the annual series. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in ruby port barrels, made by Angel's Envy in Louisville.
Where the regular bottling is reduced to 86.6 proof, this one is bottled at natural cask strength, undiluted and uncut, in a 75cl bottle.
The nose offers toasted oak, vanilla and dark fruit. The palate is rich and layered, with leather and port-cask sweetness alongside the oak and vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak and spice.
