This is the 2022 Cask Strength from Angel's Envy, the eleventh annual release in the series. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished for up to 14 additional months in ruby port wine casks, then bottled at cask strength, uncut and undiluted, at 119.8 proof in a 75cl bottle.
The bourbon is dark amber-red. The nose brings leather, brown sugar, caramel and crème brûlée, with green apple and orange. On the palate come apple, vanilla, toasted oak and black pepper, and the finish is fruity with grape tannin and lingering spice.
