Angel's Envy Finished Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey finished in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The rum casks add buttery sweetness, raisin and dark cherry fruit and a silky texture to the spicy rye grain base. They also give the whiskey its reddish amber colour.
The nose is sweet butterscotch and toasted vanilla, with tropical sweetness beside the rye spice. On the palate come spice, dark fruits and a sherry-like complexity. The finish is smooth, buttery and long, with raisin and cherry.
