A Kentucky straight bourbon from Angel's Envy, made by blending 4-year and 9-year bourbons and finishing them for a further two years in charred Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
This is the Founder's Day release, an annual tribute to Lincoln Henderson, who founded Angel's Envy. His sons Wes and Kyle produce it with the distillery team, in recognition of his interest in Japanese culture and craftsmanship.
The nose is fragrant, with incense, sandalwood, coconut and warm spice over a base of caramel and vanilla. The palate is rich and aromatic, and the long finish carries Japanese oak spice and incense into warm caramel.
Tasting Notes
Incense, sandalwood, coconut and warm spice over caramel and vanilla
Rich and aromatic, with depth from the Mizunara finish
Long and evolving, Japanese oak spice and incense fading into warm caramel
