Ardbeg Ten Years Old is a 10 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a peated, smoky whisky in which the peat gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt.
On the palate, tangy lemon and lime and black pepper come with cinnamon-spiced toffee, followed by brine, buttermilk, ripe banana and currants. Smoke builds into creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallow, and the finish brings dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke, with chewy peat oils coating the mouth.
