The Harpy's Tale is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg's Anthology series, which draws on stories of legendary meetings between mythical creatures said to have lived on Islay. This bottling is inspired by the harpy, a creature half human and half bird. The whisky spent 13 years in French Sauternes sweet wine casks and is married with Ardbeg from classic ex-bourbon casks. After more than a decade in wood, the rising smoke gives way to sweetness, as Ardbeg's character meets the rich expression of the Sauternes. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without colouring and without chill-filtration.
