Ardbeg – 15 Year Old Anthology: The Beithir's Tale (Limited Edition) (46%)

Ardbeg The Beithir's Tale is a 15 year old Islay single malt and the third and last release in the Ardbeg Anthology series. It takes its name from the Scottish legend of the Beithir, a serpent-like creature of the Highlands. It was matured in designer bourbon casks made from air-dried American oak, heavily toasted and lightly charred. This limited edition is bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The nose has molasses, smoked herbs, grilled apples and raisins. On the palate come peat smoke, coffee grounds, redcurrants, lemon balm and a hint of smoked mandarin. The finish is long, with vanilla, smoked butter and lasting spice.
