Ardbeg 15 Year Old Trudernish is an Islay single malt matured for fifteen years in a combination of bourbon casks, new charred oak and oloroso sherry casks.
The nose combines vanilla cream and fudge with gentle woodsmoke and earthy peat, reminiscent of vanilla ice cream with fudge sauce. On the palate come soft pine, woodsmoke, dark liquorice, chocolate lime and a little herbal mint, with orchard fruits, floral sweetness and creamy vanilla, ending in milk chocolate.
The finish is long and smoky, with peat embers, vanilla pod and toasted nuts.
