Ardbeg Traigh Bhan is a 19-year-old Islay single malt, here from Batch 4. It was distilled in 2003, bottled in 2022 and bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with herbal pine, fennel, lime sorbet and medicinal lozenge, then eucalyptus and saddle soap. With water, hazelnut, vanilla and currants appear. The palate brings wood smoke, dark chocolate and ground coffee, with lemon curd, peanut brittle, menthol, aniseed, clove and white pepper.
The finish is long and sweet, with peat, vanilla fudge, cocoa and a warm clove tingle.
