An Islay single malt from Ardbeg, aged for more than 30 years. It was distilled in 1991, matured in a single Bourbon hogshead and bottled in 2023 by La Maison du Whisky as Artist #13 in its Artist series. It is bottled at 47.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 165 bottles filled, uncoloured and not chill-filtered.
The nose combines mature peat smoke, maritime minerality and vanilla with sweet caramel and hints of citrus zest. On the palate, creamy caramel and soft vanilla meet salty coastal notes, aged smoke and spicy oak. The finish is long and dry, with smoke, sea salt, wood spice and a fine sweetness.
