Ardbeg – 5 Years Wee Beastie

Wee Beastie is a young Islay single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at five years old. At that age the peat smoke stays sharp and forward, which gives the whisky its raw, forceful character. The nose is heavy with peat smoke, black pepper, sea salt and fresh citrus. On the palate it is powerful, with smoked meat, pepper, chocolate and vanilla. The finish is intense and smoky, with a long, spicy aftertaste.
