Ardbeg – An Oa (70cl, 46.6%)

Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46.6% abv. It takes its inspiration from the remote, abandoned parts of Islay, and the name is pronounced 'an oh'. Ardbeg became an official distillery in 1815, when John McDougall received his licence. It closed in 1981 and reopened in 1987 for small runs, and since 1997 it has belonged to the Glenmorangie Company. An Oa is described as sweet and spicy in character.
