Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt in a 75cl bottle. Whiskies from several cask types, including Pedro Ximenez, virgin charred oak and ex-bourbon casks, spend time together in a purpose-built oak Gathering Vat, which gives the whisky its rounded character.
The result is smoky and powerful, softened by a smooth sweetness. Ardbeg's peat is joined by dark chocolate and aniseed, wrapped in butterscotch, black pepper and clove.
