Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt and the fourth addition to the Ardbeg core range. It is bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in Pedro Ximenez, virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks, then was married in a Gathering Cask made of French oak.
The nose brings creamy toffee, aniseed, dates and a hint of peach. The palate is soft and creamy, with syrup, milk chocolate, orange and smoky tea. The finish is long and smoky, with sweet spices.
