Ardbeg – Anamorphic 2023 Committee Release (70cl, 48.2%)

This is the 2023 Committee Release from Ardbeg, called Anamorphic, an Islay single malt bottled without chill filtration at 48.2% in a 70cl bottle. Cask heads were removed and scored deeply to expose more wood during an intense high mocha toasting. This tempers the briny overtones and brings out a hidden chocolatey sweetness and a mocha character. The whisky is described as moving between four elements: sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy.
