Harpy's Tale is a 13-year-old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, part of the distillery's Anthology Series, which draws on the legends and myths of Islay. It matured in a combination of Sauternes wine casks and ex-bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. The Sauternes casks add sweetness, ripe fruit and a softer texture, while the bourbon casks bring vanilla and spice alongside Ardbeg's smoke. The nose combines dense peat smoke and glowing charcoal with honey, candied apricot, ripe peach and lemon zest. On the palate it is full and creamy, with sweet smoke, grilled lemon, yellow stone fruit and black pepper. The finish is long, smoky and salty, with sweetness and ash.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
