Ardbeg Auriverdes is a limited Islay single malt, released in 2014 for Ardbeg Day and bottled at 49.9% in a 70cl bottle. The name combines auri, for the golden colour, with verde, for the distillery's green bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks. The nose shows tar and earthy herbs with a hint of mocha coffee. The palate carries Islay smoke alongside roasted parsnip or celery, maple-cured bacon and smoked salmon. The finish is lasting, with vanilla and oak.
