Ardbeg Blaaack Committee Release is an Islay single malt made for the Ardbeg Committee and bottled at 50.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It takes Ardbeg's peat smoke in a darker, richer direction.
The nose offers bonfire smoke and coastal brine, with ripe dark berries, vanilla and sweet spice. The palate is thick and punchy, with peat smoke, blackcurrant-like fruit, toasted oak, cracked pepper and a touch of earthy sweetness.
The finish is long and smoky, with lingering fruit and spice.
