Ardbeg – Corryvreckan

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a single malt Scotch whisky named after the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Jura. The nose opens with waxy dark chocolate, blackcurrants and muscovado sugar, alongside cherries and pine needles. A salty, briny side brings seaweed and smoky bacon, with touches of vanilla, cloves and blueberries. On the palate there is peppered steak with crisp seaweed, then black tarry coffee, dark fruits and bitter almonds. The finish returns to tarry coffee, chocolate-coated cherries and hot pepper sauce.
