Ardbeg – Drum Limited Edition 2019 (46%)

Ardbeg Drum is a 2019 limited edition from the Ardbeg distillery on Islay, bottled at 46%. It is the first Ardbeg to be matured in rum casks. The whisky spent its first years in ex-bourbon casks before a finish in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour. The nose combines smoke, peat, sea salt, vanilla, toffee, exotic fruit and spice. The palate is powerful, soft and balanced, with smoke, peat, sea salt, vanilla, toffee, banana, coconut, nutmeg and cloves. The finish is long, warm and complex.
