Ardbeg Fermutation is a limited edition Islay single malt bottled at 49.4% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The distinction lies in the fermentation. Where Ardbeg usually ferments for 72 hours, this whisky was fermented for three weeks, close to 300 hours in all.
It then matured for 13 years in first-fill and refill bourbon casks.
