Ardbeg – Grooves 2018 (Limited Edition) (46%)

This is the 2018 limited edition of Ardbeg Grooves, an Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It matured in wine casks that were charred particularly heavily and then cut with deep grooves on the inside. This increases contact between spirit and wood and, as the notes put it, gives the whisky a distinctive character. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
