This is the Committee release of Ardbeg Grooves, a limited Islay single malt bottled at cask strength, 51.6% ABV.
The whisky matured in former wine casks that were charred particularly heavily. The charring left deep grooves in the wood, which is said to intensify the transfer of flavour into the spirit.
Grooves was released for Ardbeg Day 2018, whose motto was Peat & Love.
