Ardbeg – Heavy Vapours Committee Release (70cl, 50.2%)

A single malt Scotch whisky from Ardbeg on Islay, released for the Ardbeg Committee, in a 70cl bottle. It is non chill-filtered and bottled at 50.2% ABV. It was made with the distillery's purifier removed from the still, the part responsible for Ardbeg's usual balance. The familiar harmony between peat and floral fruitiness is disrupted, and darker, untamed flavours come to the fore. Ardbeg describes it as a dram of dramatic, aromatic pungency.
