Ardbeg – Hypernova Committee Release 2022 (70cl)

Ardbeg Hypernova is a 2022 Committee Release from the Islay distillery, made for members of the Ardbeg Committee and sold through the Ardbeg Embassies. It is a limited edition named in tribute to supernovae, the brightest explosions in the universe. It is made from heavily peated malt, with a phenol level of 170ppm, and was matured in heavily charred Oloroso sherry casks. It is described as the smokiest Ardbeg to date. Expect bonfire smoke, tar, iodine and medicinal ointment, together with raisins, dark chocolate and spiced oak, and a hint of sea air and seaweed.
