Ardbeg Kelpie is a limited single malt from Islay, bottled for Ardbeg Day 2017 and the Islay Festival of Music and Malt. It takes its name from the kelpie, a shape-shifting water spirit of Scottish and Celtic legend, said to resemble a horse with skin like a seal's.
The whisky was matured in new oak casks made from wood from the Black Sea region, including the North Caucasian republic of Adygea. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without colouring and without chill-filtration.
