Ardbeg Perpetuum is a limited edition Islay single malt released for Ardbeg's 200th anniversary. The distillery began operating officially in 1815, and this bottling appeared on Ardbeg Day, 30 May 2015.
It brings together some very old and very young Ardbeg distillates, with silky notes from bourbon casks and spicier parts from sherry casks. It is bottled at 47.4% ABV, without added colour and without chill-filtration.
Its character is described as dark chocolate and molasses, with a hint of sea spray, peat smoke, vanilla and a note of sherry cask.
