Ardbeg – Perpetuum (70cl)

This is Ardbeg Perpetuum, a single malt from Islay presented in a 70cl bottle. It is described as a blend of classic Ardbeg character with creamy flavours. The nose combines mellow, rich notes with dark chocolate, treacle and nutty oak. With water it turns fresher, bringing briny sea spray and a top note of pine resin and lime. On the palate, robust peat smoke and smoky bacon meet creamy vanilla and milk chocolate, with a hint of sherry casks. The aftertaste is long and lingering.
