The second release in the Ardbeg Smoketrails series, this is a limited edition Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a one litre bottle.
The whisky was first matured in Ardbeg ex-bourbon casks, then finished in red wine casks from Côte Rôtie in the Rhône Valley.
Peat smoke meets the influence of the French wine casks, bringing deep berry richness, subtle floral notes and a velvety depth. Intense smoke, sweet spice and dark fruit sit in balance.
