Ardbeg – Smoketrails Manzanilla Edition (1L, 46%)

Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla Edition is an Islay single malt bottled at 46% in a 1 litre bottle. It combines whisky from Manzanilla sherry casks with whisky from Ardbeg's usual American oak casks. It is of natural colour and not chill-filtered. The palate is slightly dry, then deep, sharp flavours cross the tongue: tar, soot, dark chocolate and a pronounced nuttiness, like Brazil nuts or hazelnut. Fennel and pine blossom follow, leaving a long trail of carbolic soap, aniseed and leather.
