Ardbeg – Smoketrails Napa Valley Edition (1L)

Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley Edition is an Islay single malt and the third release in the Smoketrails series. It matured in American ex-bourbon casks before a finish in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks from Napa Valley. The wine casks add floral depth, rich fruit and well-integrated tannins alongside the Ardbeg smoke. The nose has bonfire smoke, burnt wood and smoked olives, with blackberry, cassis, black cherry, rose water and violet. The palate is smoky, with espresso, dark chocolate, cranberry, plum and black pepper. The finish is long, dry and smoky, with salty bitterness, leather and orange peel.
