Ardbeg – Smokiverse (70cl, 48.3%)

Ardbeg Smokiverse is an Islay single malt bottled at 48.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It takes the distillery's classic peaty character in a new direction of flavour. The first sip is described as a lively burst of fruity esters, a little like smoked bubblegum, together with aromas of barley. The peat then meets juicy tropical fruit, before settling into a rich depth of muscovado sugar.
