Ardbeg Ten is a 10-year-old Islay single malt, matured in first-fill and second-fill casks of American white oak. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The character is strongly peated and phenolic, with sweetness, toffee, chocolate, floral notes and citrus running alongside the smoke.
The nose brings tar, toffee and cinnamon, with spice, fresh lemon and fruit, and a note of sea salt and seaweed. The palate starts moderately sweet before peat, tobacco, espresso, liquorice and tarry smoke build. The finish is long, with smoky sweetness, peat, tar and espresso.
