Uigeadail is a single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It brings together whisky matured partly in bourbon casks and partly in sherry casks, giving a sweet, smoky character.
The nose is typically described as layered, with peat, dark sugar, freshly ground espresso beans, grain and fine tar. The palate has a silky texture, opening sweetly with fruitcake and treacle before honey follows. Peat is present throughout without dominating.
