Ardbeg – Uigeadail (70cl, 54.2%)

Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay single malt without an age statement, matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak together with Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 54.2% without chill filtration. The name comes from Loch Uigeadail, the distillery's water source. Peat smoke is joined by raisins, molasses and dark chocolate, with spice, coffee and maritime notes. The nose brings Christmas cake, walnut oil, raisins, smoke, sea salt, cedar and molasses. The palate is robust and oily, with sweet sherry fruit, honey, winter spices, smoke and toffee. The finish is very long, with raisins, mocha and deep, aromatic smoke.
