Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a five-year-old Islay single malt and a permanent expression in the distillery's Ultimate Range. It is the youngest Ardbeg the distillery has made, created to be its rawest and smokiest. It is matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and is presented in a 75cl bottle.
The nose brings cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin and a sharp tang of smoke. The palate is full of chocolate, creosote and tar, with savoury meaty notes, followed by a long, salty, mouth-coating finish.
